VIRGINIA DGIF HUNTER EDUCATION CLASS
In Virginia, first time hunters and hunters 12 to 15 years of age are required to complete the hunter education course before buying a hunting license, and to present the course completion certificate when the license is purchased.
To register for any of the courses listed below please go to the VA DGIF web page www.dgif.virginia.gov/ and select "Education" in the left hand column, next select "Hunter Education". After the Hunter Education page displays select the class locator (orange box top right). On the event registration page select "Virginia Education Classroom Course". Click on the date of the course and then select the course you want to attend. Click the "register me" button and enter the requested information.
All courses are free, but advanced registration is required. Attendance at both sessions is required.

INTERNATIONAL BOWHUNTER EDUCATION PROGRAM
This course is not required to bowhunt in Virginia but it is required to hunt with groups like Suburban Whitetail Management and to hunt on certain Military Reservations within Virginia. It is required if you want to bowhunt in 19 states. We are offering two courses this year.
